Wisdom: Slow to Anger

Today’s Word

 Wisdom

A disposition to find the truth.

Judgment as to what actions to pursue and deliver the correct outcome.

Requires control of our emotional reactions so that reason prevails.

Today’s Verse

 Proverbs 19

11 A person’s wisdom makes him slow to anger, and it is his glory to overlook an offense

As we grow in the knowledge of the Word of God, we acquire spiritual wisdom. It guides us in making good decisions. It helps us with reason and control of our emotional reactions. It allows us to seek the truth in all we see and do.

Wisdom as a Guide

The study of the Bible helps us gain knowledge and understanding of God’s standards for our daily living. It is a guide to Christians as to what is right or wrong, and as to what is expected to be our reaction to all that we encounter. It is a guide to help us control our emotions so we do not exercise outbursts of anger or wrong judgment.

Wisdom as Reason

As we grow in knowledge, we learn to use reason. We learn to make decisions with our spiritual heart, which is guided by God’s word. By using our spiritual knowledge, we learn to reason with our emotions. We allow the Holy Spirit to keeps us calm, think, evaluate, and contain our anger. We use reason as to not offend others, yet glorify God.

Wisdom as Truth

Our pursuit for the truth is led by our Christian thirst for knowledge. We seek justice, truth, compassion, love, and acceptance. Our quest for the truth drives us to use reasoning and knowledge, in order to discern right from wrong, good from bad, holy from unholy, and godly from ungodly. We set all judgment aside until we have examined all the facts and found the truth.

My Eyes Are on You, God

psalm 139 23
Do your eyes wonder? Do your thoughts make you ashamed? Do you think, maybe, you are not worthy? Then you are human, imperfect, and filled with doubt. That’s Ok. Because as long as we take a breath, as long as we live in this world, our lives will be filled with all the above.

However, there is an answer to our daily struggles, God. If we keep our eyes on him, he will help us through each day. He will remind us not to wonder, not to be ashamed, and not to feel unworthy. You see, the adversary wants us to feel that way so we can take our eyes of God. Don’t let him win.

 Keep your eyes on God

Every day, when I wake up, I wonder what kind of day I am going to have. I wonder if I am going to make it through the day. If I am going to be worthy of God’s grace or if I am going to fail miserably. The truth is that by keeping my eyes on God, I will have the best day possible.

Keep your thoughts on God

When I feel my thoughts attacking me, I think of God and how he works in my life. I read a passage in the bible, or I pray for help in keeping my thoughts on him. I will not allow the adversary to win.

Feel God’s presence in your life

When I take a breath, I feel God’s presence. He gave me the air to breath and the lungs to breathe with. When I open my eyes, I see his masterpiece surrounding my life. The wonders of God are all around us. Each marvel brings a thought of his amazing powers.

If you feel as if you are wondering about life, then do so with God by your side. Let him help you find your way, let him fill your thoughts, and let him remind you that you were worth dying for. He gave us his son Jesus. Why would he not give you a good day?

 Exodus 33

14 And the Lord said, “My presence will go with you”

 Psalm 139

23 Examine me, and probe my thoughts Test me, and know my concerns!

 Mark 12

11 This is from the Lord, and it is marvelous in our eyes’?

Thank You Readers in Faith

thank you for reading

Acts 15:31

When they read it aloud, the people rejoiced at its encouragement.

I was sitting at the computer working on my blogs when I realized it has been quite an eventful beginning of the year. I realized that now I have regular readers to my blogs and they look forward to my posts. That is quite a notion.

I never thought that my humble blogs would be want to be read. Imagine!!!!

Therefore, today, I dedicate this post to you, my reader.

First, let me start with THANK YOU!!! for taking the time to stop by day after day and reading.

Second, I want to let you know that you are the reason I write.

Third, you are my inspiration to continue writing,

Last, you fill me with encouragement.

The Bible is a book to be shared with all, we are vessels of delivery of its inspiration, message of love, and words of wisdom. It encourages us to be humanitarian, brings the best of us to light, and teaches like a manual how to do the right thing. It is a book that we read and pray to God for its understanding. It is not a book to be interpreted to appease our thoughts, but to give us insight on our daily lives, how to conduct ourselves, how to live a Christian life, but furthermore, how to gain eternal salvation.

I follow this book in my writings. I do not formulate or recreate my opinions, yet put the words inspired by God into written form. They are words from the heart, guided by the Holy Spirit in all respect to the voice of our Savior.

Today, I pray to God to continue putting His teachings into words for all your eyes to see.

GOD BE WITH YOU ALL, today and always

The Eyes: A Window to the Soul

window to the soul

Matthew 6:

The eye is the lamp of the body; so then if your eye is clear, your whole body will be full of light.

I have heard that the “eyes are the windows to our soul.” It is believed that when someone looks deep in our eyes they can see our soul. However, what is our soul?

The soul is the spirit or essence that is within each of us. Is that part of us that lives on beyond death. It carries all of our burdens, happy thoughts, despairs, accomplishments, and hopefully, all the beautiful memories that we made here on Earth.

Maybe, when someone looks into our eyes, they can see a part of our life that is already transcribed and imprinted within the soul. Of course, these are speculations on my behalf, but nevertheless provoking thoughts that could allow us to be happy about what we end up taking with us in our final day on Earth.

I looked into the eyes of the man I love, and I could see his kindness, love, gentleness, and believe it or not, I saw my home in his eyes. Not a physical home, but a home for my soul to rest along his, to hold hands with his, and to share new memories together.

I believe that his eyes foretold our love, our friendship, and our union. I love to look into his deep blue eyes. They have a calming effect during a stormy day, a relaxing look that lets my senses know that everything is alright.

How wonderful? How magnificent? To love and see love in the windows of my better-half’s eyes.

Maybe it is true love, maybe it is wishful thinking, but for know, I will take it for what it is.
